What is Golf in Egypt?
When one thinks of a great golf experience, the first thing that comes
to his mind is the charming views surrounding golf courses all over the
world. Visiting any golf resort, one expects to see beautiful landscapes
in Schotland, England or USA. But where else in the world, except in
Egypt, can one enjoy a round of golf in the shadows of the ancient
pyramids, or few moments away from the splendid monuments of Luxor, or
near the most marvelous diving sites in the world like Sharm El sheikh
and Hurghada.
How did Golf become popular in Egypt?
Few years ago, there was limited amount of golf courses in Egypt. Now,
golf has become more popular, owing to the expansion of the suburban
residential areas, there are a wide range of golf courses all over Egypt
not only in Cairo. Recently, new courses have been completed by some of
the world top golf architects including Florida’s Sanford Associates,
Gary Player, Karl Litten and top European firms.
